Linda Cunningham’s San Marco boutique will host The Players Championship Fashion Cure benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation March 6. The event will honor area fashion plates Rochelle Proctor and Ward Lariscy and the catwalk evening will feature couture designs from Linda Cunningham Spring 2010 Collection and Karl’s Clothier’s.
“It is such a great pleasure to be honored by The Fashion Cure and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at their event and help raise money for such as worthy cause,” said Lariscy. “The need of awareness and further research will be assisted by this wonderful evening under the stars on Jacksonville’s Southbank.”
Celebrity models will take to the outdoor catwalk in support of a cure for cystic fibrosis. The foundation will host a live and silent auction as well as casino games. Chefs for a Night will provide the evening’s fare and Bold City Brewery, Premier Beverage Company and Con-stellation Wines will serve drinks throughout the night.
“I would like to extend a special thank you to our title sponsor this year, The Players Championship, and to our presenting sponsors, Brady and Kathy Rackley and PRI Productions,” said Dana Troeger, director of special events for the foundation. “It is because of the generosity of sponsors like them that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been able to develop more effective therapies, increasing the median age to an amazing almost 38 years. And as a result, we are closer than ever to being able to control and possibly cure cystic fibrosis.”
Sponsorships for the event are still available ranging from $250 to $2,500. In addition to The Players Championship, other sponsors include: Designer Sponsors Joan Levin and Charles L. Prizzia DDS; and in-kind sponsors Suzanne Hendrix Design, MAC Hair Studios, S&R Photography, Mario Peralta Photography and Sessions Modeling.
Tickets to the event are $100. VIP tickets are available for $125 and include VIP seating on the runway and complimentary champagne. The Fashion Cure is from 7-11 p.m. and valet parking will be available.
