The city is reviewing a construction permit application for a 664-square-foot Scooter’s Coffee drive-thru at 13753 Beach Blvd. on a 0.69-acre site at northeast Beach Boulevard and Gerona Drive at an estimated cost of $350,000.
The franchise owner is Saint Johns-based Joesaphine’s Coffee LLC, led by Edward and Kristina Grimes.
The site is west of Hodges Boulevard in the Beach Haven area.
Scooter's, based in Omaha, Nebraska, anticipates at least 15 to 16 area locations.
Scooter’s offers espresso drinks, fruit smoothies and pastries.
Its signature drink is the Caramelicious, an espresso that features caramel sauce, frothy hot milk and whipped cream drizzled with caramel. It also offers organic hot and iced teas.
