Gov. Rick Scott spent much of Wednesday experiencing the life of a shrimp boat striker in Yulee as part of his 12th “Let’s Get to Work” Day. The day started at 4:45 a.m. when he filled coolers with ice and loaded the boats, with a 5:30 a.m. departure on Captain Mike’s Shrimp Boat. Scott then assisted Captain Mike by deploying and retrieving nets and trawling the Bells River. Scott also assisted in sorting and packing shrimp throughout the day.
