Seaport board has first meeting

With ships passing in the distance, Jacksonville Seaport Authority board members met Monday for the first time since the Jacksonville Port Authority split into two divisions, one for the city’s airports, the other for public seaport terminals. There was also a ceremony unveiling a permanent exhibit, a nine-foot tall ship’s propeller, which signifies Jaxport’s focus on maritime endeavors.
