Sprouts announces what it already confirmed: It will open in The Markets at Town Center

The natural foods store will open its first Jacksonville store in the former Best Buy.

Sprouts Farmers Market Inc. announced Friday what it confirmed Oct. 15 – that it will open at The Markets at Town Center.

The Phoenix-based natural foods store also said it will open in Miramar Square in Miramar.

Sprouts said when it confirmed the opening that details would be announced next year. The chain will lease the former Best Buy store at 4873 Town Center Parkway.

The city is reviewing a permit application for a $2.5 million remodeling of a 30,162-square-foot space.

The company said the two stores are in addition to its previously announced plans to expand in Florida with locations in Clearwater, Deerfield Beach, Jupiter, Naples, Oviedo, Riverview, Trinity and Wellington.

The grocer will open its first Central Florida store in Winter Park on Oct. 24 and currently operates five stores in the state.

Sprouts Farmers Market specializes in fresh, natural and organic products. It operates more than 300 stores in 19 states.
