Each weekday through April 4, the 2003 SunTrust Symphony/ASID Showhouse at 11 E. Forsyth presents a speaker on various home topics. Tuesday, there was a workshop in chocolate hosted by David Bearl, program coordinator for the First Coast Technical Institute’s School of Culinary Arts. Bearl prepared a dessert called Laura’s chocolate surprise, which was awarded best in show at the Chocolate Gala in St. Augustine. Workshop attendees mobbed the display tables afterwards hoping to get a taste of the surprise.
