A Florida company wants mall customers to scoop up some air.

Slaays-Laays Oxygen Fluffy Drink plans to set up a kiosk at The Avenues mall at 10300 Southside Blvd.

The oxygen-filled foam is naturally flavored and customers can eat it with a spoon.

“People don’t know about this product so we want people to taste it and to feel the benefits of the drink,” said Grigory Bershadsky, president of Slaays-Laays Inc., based in Indian Lakes Estates.

He said the location could open this week, pending approvals.

Slaays-Laays said the “tasty foam” is an easy way to raise oxygen levels, which it says increases energy and vitality.

“Anyone from kids to seniors can enjoy this drink and see an instant improvement in their mood and general health thanks to the enriching effects of extra oxygen,” says oxygenfluffydrink.com.

Flavors include Fruitti02 and Dessert02 and soon, Milk02 and Herb02.

The Slaays-Laays site lists 10 Florida markets,  including Jacksonville, and says it also will open in the Northeast.

Bershadsky said he is setting up seven kiosks with two open and five more coming.

In Northeast Florida, Bershadsky also wants to set up kiosks at St. Johns Town Center and at the Orange Park Mall.

He said he was determining pricing on the 16-ounce drink, which could be $3.99 to $4.99.

Slaays-Laays said the drink has an oxygen concentration of 94 to 96 percent and emphasizes it is not a substitute for medical oxygen and is for recreational use.

To emphasize the benefits, it says that an urban office or apartment has an oxygen concentration of 19.8 to 20.6 percent, resulting in fatigue, sleepiness, dizziness, headaches and decreased productivity.

But the up to 22.2 percent oxygen concentration at the forest or ocean creates a favorable state and positive mental health.

The site says the drink contains thousands of tiny bubbles filled with oxygen that “will fill you with positive emotions and provide important health benefits.”

As the oxygen spreads throughout the body, the drink is able to “enrich, revitalize, and recharge the body almost instantly.”

Evolution Contractors Corp. of Lake Worth is the contractor for the kiosk installation at a project cost of $10,000.

Evolution said the installation is expected on Tuesday.

Bershadsky said he launched the company a year ago but recently started operations.

After the first seven are up and open, he is considering franchises.

He said he invented the machine he uses to infuse the oxygen into the drink and he wants to sell those to the public once the public feels the benefits.
