Taylor Woodrow Communities will develop and build St. Johns Forest, an exclusive upscale community on CR 210 in St. Johns County.

In conjunction with the housing development, an upscale shopping center with a Publix anchor will be developed at the entrance.

Taylor Woodrow is currently seeking zoning approval to develop St. Johns Forest and a company spokesman said, Pending zoning approvals, construction of the retail center should start this fall and should be opened next summer.”

Taylor Woodrow is currently active in Orange Park Country Club, Julington Creek and Marsh Landing, and has previously completed Deercreek Country Club and Ocean Cay in Jacksonville.

The company has been developing and building lifestyle communities and luxury homes in North America for over 65 years. The firm’s Florida projects include signature communities in Palm Beach, Naples, Sarasota, Venice, Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville.

Headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, current operations include more than 50 active developments located throughout Florida, California, Texas and Ontario, Canada. The company recorded revenues in excess of $880 million in 2001, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Taylor Woodrow plc, a London based, publicly traded real estate group founded in 1921.
