Offices are planned in San Jose, West Jacksonville, the Downtown Southbank and St. Johns County.

TD Bank is expanding in Northeast Florida with at least four offices in San Jose, West Jacksonville, the Downtown Southbank and St. Johns County.

• The city issued a permit Sept. 29 for Vericon Construction Co. LLC of Orlando to renovate a closed 2,460-square-foot bank at 12689 San Jose Blvd. at a cost of $943,810. That is expected to open this month.

• The city is reviewing a permit for TD Bank to renovate a former bank office at 5665 Normandy Blvd., where it applied with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish a branch. That project is an estimated $300,000 project. SouthState Bank sold the 1.21-acre site and 3,873-square-foot building, developed in 1982, to The Ferber Co. on Dec. 22 for $1 million. Tom Mundy, Ferber executive vice president of retail development services, said Jan. 3 that Ferber will lease the property to TD Bank.

• The city issued a permit Oct. 29 for TD Bank to renovate the former Synovus Bank office on the Downtown Southbank. Vericon Construction Co. will renovate the 1,746-square-foot building at 1326 Prudential Drive at a project cost of at $555,624.

• St. Johns County is reviewing plans for TD Bank and an Ellianos Coffee Co. shop on the 1.42-acre Outparcel 4 within Durbin Creek Crossing at southwest St. Johns Parkway and Race Track Road. The 4,000-square-foot building will comprise a 3,000-square-foot TD Bank and a 1,000-square-foot Ellianos shop. That branch will open in 2023.

TD Bank, with U.S. headquarters in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, has 16 branches, which it calls stores, in the North Florida market of Jacksonville St. Augustine, Starke, Ocala, Gainesville, Daytona Beach and Putnam and Baker counties.
