IHOP is taking over the former Bob Evans Restaurant at Hodges Pointe Plaza.
The city approved a permit Thursday for IHOP to renovate and add to the closed Bob Evans at 3250 Hodges Blvd. Scherer Construction of Northeast Florida LLC is the contractor for the almost $244,000 project.
In February, Colliers International announced it represented Sunshine Restaurant Partners in the lease of the building to IHOP. Bob Evans closed late last year.
It will be Sunshine Restaurant Partners’ fourth IHOP in Jacksonville.
Gate Petroleum. Co. intends to build a Gate Carwash at 3546 Blanding Blvd. at southwest Blanding Boulevard and Hyde Park Road.
The 5,101-square-foot car wash is planned on 1.96 acres. CPH Inc. is the engineering consultant.
The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing a permit modification.
