Three Rivers Legal Services to celebrate 4 decades
Three Rivers Legal Services will celebrate 40 years of providing civil legal consultation and representation to families with low incomes at a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. April 12 at the Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville.
State Supreme Court Chief Justice Jorge Labarga will be the guest speaker.
By 2004 it had grown into a nonprofit law firm helping low-income clients in a 17-county area with offices in Gainesville, Lake City and in Jacksonville at 3225 University Blvd. S.
The more than 20 full-time attorneys at Three Rivers specialize in housing law, family law and domestic violence prevention, elder law, education law and income and public benefits issues.
Tickets for the event are $25 per person and the law firm is seeking sponsors.
