VanTrust Real Estate LLC is moving forward with construction of a 552,170-square-foot speculative industrial building at Imeson Park in North Jacksonville.
The city approved a permit Friday for The Conlan Co. to build the shell building, parking, utilities, roads and landscaping on 29.26 acres at a cost of $22 million.
The address is 10501 Cold Storage Road.
Shell construction means that the interior build-out will be done under a separate permit.
VanTrust recently was permitted to build the shell structure for the 300,000-square-foot Cra-Z-Art distribution center near the new spec building at $11.74 million.
VanTrust Real Estate closed on the purchase of 156 acres in September from Imeson International Industrial Park Inc. for development of Imeson Park. The land can develop up to 3 million square feet on the property.
