What the hail happened?

Audio engineer Jeremy Moore wasn’t at the sound board at the Florida Theatre on Wednesday morning. He was on top of a lift, replacing light bulbs broken Tuesday afternoon by the hail storm that hit Downtown. About 200 of the more than 2,000 bulbs in the historic marquee were shattered, but the neon lights and the LED displays were not damaged, said Saul Lucio, technical director. “I was calling the lamp supplier while the hail was still coming down. I knew we were going to need a bunch of bulbs,” he said.
