"His life story never fails to captivate," says a tweet this morning from Jim Woodcock, who is spokesman for Jacksonville Jaguars owner, Shad Khan.

The tweet accompanied a photo of Khan speaking today at the 2014 Reinventing America Summit. Here's how forbes.com describes Khan's appearance:

"A Conversation with Shahid Khan, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Flex-in-Gate; Owner, Jacksonville Jaguars, Fulham Football Club

No one Forbes has featured on its cover in the last decade has so completely personified the American Dream as Shahid Khan. His inspiring story embodies what is possible."

In an interview on forbes.com by a reporter before Khan's speech today, he offered these insights:

On why he believes the country's economic recovery has turned a corner: "Because America always proves itself to be the greatest country in the world.  From a well-to-do person in China to a taxi driver in London, their goal is that they want to come to America.  When it is all said and done, the best place in the world to have a future is here, in the United States.

On what he would say to President Barack Obama: To quote Deng Xiaoping, "To be rich is glorious." I believe this is something President Obama needs to articulate better. Having a vision and people striving to one day be rich is better for individuals as well as our entire country.
