Builder Bryan Lendry, founder, president and chief executive officer of Brylen Homes Ltd., was installed as the 61st president of the Northeast Florida Builders Association, one of the nation’s largest builders associations, at a joint NEFBA/Sales and Marketing Council luncheon this month.
“It is a great privilege to have served on the NEFBA Executive Committee and now to be confirmed as the 2005 president of the association,” Lendry said. “Greg Matovina is leaving large footprints, and I accept the challenge to lead the association to even greater heights. We expect another great year, along with the responsibilities of providing affordable housing, responding to regulatory issues and making sure our growth is managed wisely.”
Lendry demonstrated his commitment to building the association with his effort to enlist new members. During the 2004 membership drive, Lendry signed up the most new members - 26 since the first of the year.
After graduating from American International College in Massachusetts with a bachelor of science degree in business administration, Lendry worked his way through the ranks at Ryan Homes, a home-construction company based in Atlanta. From intern to assistant supervisor to production supervisor to sales associate, Lendry was involved in many facets of the home-building business.
In 1992, Lendry put his education and industry experience to use by founding Custom Homes by Bryan Lendry Inc. The company’s average annual sales volume is $5 million and home-construction projects range in size from 3,000 square feet to 10,000 square feet. With the addition of Brylen Homes Ltd., Lendry now operates two companies representing an annual sales volume in excess of $30 million.
Lendry has been recognized repeatedly as an innovator in quality home construction. He has built a SunTrust/ASID Symphony Showhouse, and he has earned a Best in American Living Award, an Aurora Award and multiple awards in the annual NEFBA Parade of Homes competition.
