SRG Homes enlarges floor plan, builds in historic districts

SRG Homes & Neighborhoods has updated one of its popular Craftsman-style designs. The New Saxelbye is an enlarged version of design, offering the same floor plan with more space.

The New Saxelbye floor plan has 2,181 square feet in a two-story design with front porches on both levels and a rear deck off the extended breakfast/sitting room. The first floor has both formal and informal living and dining spaces as well as a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and and appliances. The master bedroom on the second floor opens to the upstairs front porch and has a private bath and two walk-in closets. There are two additional large bedrooms, a full bath and the family’s laundry area on the second level.

SRG Homes & Neighborhoods is building new historically-inspired homes in Downtown Historic Springfield, Riverside and St. Augustine. The company, which also has operations in East Atlanta, specializes in developments inspired by the ‘New Urbanism’ movement that promote a high quality lifestyle and connectivity.

SRG is also building the 2006 Bank of America Symphony Showhouse in Historic Springfield, which will consist of four homes with different custom themes. The October 7-22 event is the primary fundraiser for the Jacksonville Symphony Guild.

The Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission honored SRG for its architecturally compatible new construction. The company has also received architectural design awards from the Florida Home Builders Association, the Northeast Florida Builders Association Sales & Marketing Council and the Atlanta SMC.
