Now in its 72nd year of service to the industry and the greater Jacksonville area, the Northeast Florida Builders Association proudly installed its president, executive committee and the boards of directors for the association and its Sales and Marketing and Remodelers councils.
More than 300 members and friends of the association attended the Jan. 15 ceremony at the University of North Florida Center.
Former President Richard Dostie (1988) served as emcee for the event, which was sponsored by BESON4, BrightLink Technology and Nimnicht Fleet.
Chet Skinner, Skinner Bros. Realty, was installed as president and was sworn into office by past President Glenn Layton (2009).
Skinner challenged NEFBA leaders and members to participate in a renewed focus on education in 2016. Other points of emphasis included a continued effort to grow the membership and to return Builders Care to its original mission.
Nathan Moore, of Freedom REI, was installed as chair of the Remodelers Council, and Janna Thomas, of Bank of England, was installed as chair of the Sales & Marketing Council.
The association honored members for their outstanding performance in 2015.
