• The New York Jets announced Wednesday night that they have agreed in principle on a trade with the Denver Broncos for quarterback Tim Tebow. The news came about nine hours after the Jets first announced at 1 p.m. on an agreement for the trade, but the deal went on hold to resolve a contract question. Terms weren’t announced, but reports said the Jets will give up fourth- and sixth-round draft picks and take Denver’s seventh-round pick. In the meantime, the Jacksonville Jaguars briefly re-entered the chase.
