Just six days after the final round of The Players Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville’s other annual golf tradition tees off 3 p.m. Saturday at the lawn party and yard golf tournament sponsored by the Pajcic & Pajcic law firm.
The event raises money for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid through ticket sales and donations. The law firm then doubles those contributions with its own gift. Last year, the tournament raised $100,000 for JALA.
The front nine is set up at Steve and Anne Pajcic’s home at 1917 Montgomery Place in Avondale; the back nine is a few doors down at the home of Michael Pajcic and Katy DeBriere at 3900 Richmond St.
A hole-in-one on No. 6 is worth $6,000 for the golfer and $6,000 for JALA.
Registration is $50 for attorneys and $25 for everyone else. Children are free. The event includes yard golf, food, drinks and appearances by local celebrities.
