Amazon to open Cecil Commerce Center fulfillment center in early 2018

 Amazon.com expects to open its Cecil Commerce Center fulfillment center in early 2018 and start hiring one or two months in advance.
 
Spokeswoman Shevaun Brown was not specific about the exact dates for the opening or the hiring events for the 1,000 full-time positions at the Westside center.
 
That 1 million-square-foot center is under construction at 13333 103rd St. in AllianceFlorida at Cecil Commerce Center.
 
It will handle fulfillment for large consumer items.
 
The Seattle-based internet retailer is hiring for its first center at 12900 Pecan Park Road in Northwest Jacksonville.
 
The 1,500 full-time workers there will pick, pack and ship small consumer goods.
 
Amazon held three job fairs and also held interviews with candidates who applied online.
