One Spark festival has a new home

One Spark is returning in the fall, but it won’t be on the Downtown streets and it won’t be free for festival-goers.

Organizers announced Monday the innovation festival, now a partnership of One Spark Ventures and Bold Events LLC, moves to EverBank Field and US Assure Club West from noon to 8 p.m. Oct. 6-7.
The festival will be preceded by a kickoff concert Oct. 5 at Daily’s Place, although no performers have been announced.
One Spark Ventures Inc. is led by Peter Rummell, Chris Carter, Gwen Griggs, Michael Munz and Jim Stallings.
Bold Events is led by Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan.
One Spark will feature up to 150 creators competing for exposure and cash prizes. One Spark Ventures will hold a “Spark Tank” competition, with up to $25,000 in seed money to the winner.
Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 the day of the event. Creator applications can be submitted starting July 10.
