Regency Centers Corp. temporarily has moved to available CSX office space in Southpoint as the Wells Fargo Center recovers from flooding caused by Hurricane Irma.

Company Communications Manager Eric Davidson said Monday that all Jacksonville-based Regency employees are at the Southpoint offices at 6737 Southpoint Drive S., CSX Building No. 1.

The company headquarters are based in the Wells Fargo Center at 1 Independent Drive. The 37-story tower closed Sept. 8 for the impending hurricane, whose effects drove floodwaters into the building’s two-level basement and shut down power systems.

“There have been no impacts to business, as our teams have been fantastic at ensuring we haven’t skipped a beat. We look to be back in the Wells Fargo building as soon as we are able,” Davidson said.

Tower management told tenants Friday it hopes to open the tower “in the coming days,” but has not provided a specific date.

Regency Centers is a publicly traded company that owns 428 shopping centers nationwide totaling 59 million square feet of retail space.
