Walmart is hiring for 350 jobs it will need at the Supercenter it will open this fall at The Pavilion at Durbin Park in St. Johns County.
A temporary hiring center is open in Panther Plaza at 10440 U.S. 1 N., Suites 120/121.
Applications will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applicants also may apply online at careers.walmart.com.
Walmart said most of those hired will begin work in September to prepare for the grand opening.
Store Manager Bobbi Jo Smith said in a news release the store will be hiring full- and part-time associates.
Walmart provides benefits to eligible associates, including health and well-being plans. Walmart also offers eligible associates matching 401(k) contributions of up to 6 percent of pay and a quarterly cash bonus based on store performance.
The company expanded its parental and maternity leave policy, providing full-time hourly associates in the U.S. with 10 weeks of paid maternity leave, and six weeks of paid parental leave.
It also provides financial assistance to associates adopting a child.
Walmart also announced that Walmart U.S. and Sam’s Club associates will be able to qualify for associate and bachelor’s degrees in Business or Supply Chain Management through its partnership with Guild Education.
Walmart will subsidize the cost of higher education, beyond financial aid and an associate contribution equivalent to $1 a day.

In April, Walmart announced plans to spend an estimated $200 million in Florida over the next year for store construction, improvements and innovations, including at Durbin Park.
