 Mayport Naval Station will be the home port of the USS Minneapolis-St. Paul starting July 31. The USS Minneapolis-St. Paul is a littoral combat ship, the Navy’s newest class of warship.

Crowley Logistics aids California wildfire fight: Crowley is under contract to aid governmental agencies in response to California’s Mendocino Complex wildfires. Crowley is maintaining truck transport operations to move supplies such as ready to eat meals, hoses, personal protective equipment and other items in the wildfire fight.

Vestcor begins work on The Quarry: Jacksonville-based developer Vestcor Companies Inc. started construction of The Quarry, the largest workforce housing community in the Florida Keys. The 208-unit community in Big Coppitt Key, with development costs of about $60 million, is expected to be completed in January 2020.
