In case you missed it, three code-named 2018 projects were identified by the city and JAX Chamber.
• Project Moon is Selene Finance LP.
It will expand its offices at 8201 Cypress Plaza Drive and create 50 jobs at an average salary of $52,396.
It will retain 252 jobs. It will invest $125,000 to buy IT equipment, furniture and fixtures.
In return for the job creation. The city and state will pay a Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund of up to $250,000, with the city responsible for $50,000. The name was identified in the Economic Development Agreement signed by the city May 4.
• Project Cart is C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc.
It proposes to expand its warehouse and distribution facility at 5050 Edgewood Court, the former Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. center in Northwest Jacksonville.
C&S proposes to create 40 jobs at an average annual salary of $30,100 and invest $400,000, putting $200,000 each into renovations and new equipment. The city agreed to make an Economically Distressed Area Targeted Industry Program grant up to $40,000.
C&S supplies Southeastern Grocers, whose brands include Winn-Dixie. The Economic Development Agreement was made Sept. 6.
• Project Buckeye is Cra-Z-Art, the JAXUSA Partnership confirmed in a presentation at its fourth-quarter meeting.
The New Jersey company proposes to hire 21 full-time management and administration employees in Jacksonville at an average $53,298 annually.
It plans to lease 293,000 square feet in a warehouse to be built in Northwest Jacksonville. City Council approved $689,000 in city and state financial incentives that comprise a $626,000 recapture enhanced value grant and a $63,000 QTI refund of which the city will pay $12,600.
Council adopted the legislation Nov. 13.
