The Ramona Flea Market on the Westside has a new owner.

Henderson, Colorado-based United Flea Markets said in a news release Wednesday it bought the market at 7059 Ramona Blvd. A purchase price wasn’t disclosed.

Founded in 1971, the market sits on 107 acres and has more than 700 vendors.

“The Ramona Flea Market is a long-standing and thriving business noted for its impressive vendor and buyer relationships,” said Rob Sieban, president, CEO and co-owner of United Flea Markets. “We look forward to building on the market’s past success while positioning it for the next 40-plus years of growth.”

Ralph Waller, the former owner of Ramona, said in the release he was enthusiastic about the vision proposed by United Flea Markets.

“The Ramona Flea Market is a special place and it was critical to us that the new owner not only share our passion, but also act as a strong steward for it,” he said. “United Flea Markets brings to the operation deep industry knowledge paired with a vision that respects the past while building for the future. It’s a great fit.”

It’s the third Florida property for United Flea Markets. It also owns the Flamingo Island Flea Market in Bonita Springs and the T&W Flea Market in Pensacola.

United also owns the Mile High Flea Market in Denver, the Awesome Flea Market in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and the J&J Flea Market in Athens, Georgia.

The Jacksonville deal includes an additional 25,000 square feet of event space.

The Ramona Flea Market continues to operate 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
