State Supreme Court Chief Justice Jorge Labarga will be the guest speaker.

Three Rivers was established in 1977 with the merger of Storefront Legal Aid in Gainesville and Suwanee River Economic Council in Live Oak’s legal aid initiative. It began serving seven counties in North Central Florida.

By 2004 it had grown into a nonprofit law firm helping low-income clients in a 17-county area with offices in Gainesville, Lake City and in Jacksonville at 3225 University Blvd. S.

The more than 20 full-time attorneys at Three Rivers specialize in housing law, family law and domestic violence prevention, elder law, education law and income and public benefits issues.

Tickets for the event are $25 per person and the law firm is seeking sponsors.
