Jacksonville-based CSX Corp. announced Monday that it appointed Angela Williams as vice president and controller.
She will succeed Andrew Glassman, who provided notice that he will be leaving the company to pursue other opportunities, but has agreed to stay through June 30 to assist with the transition.
“Angie’s depth of knowledge of our business and her strong accounting acumen will be invaluable as we continue to build momentum behind our strategy to become the best run railroad in North America,” said Frank Lonegro, CSX executive vice president and CFO, in a statement.
He said Glassman’s “keen analytical skills, and strong strategic, financial and accounting experience will serve him well in the future.”
Williams previously served as CSX’s assistant controller. She joined the company in 2003 and has served in accounting positions.
Before joining CSX, she worked in KPMG LLP’s audit practice after holding accounting and internal audit positions at Winn-Dixie Stores Inc.
Williams is a certified public accountant and a graduate of Florida State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
