Duval Station Marketplace sold to Publix

Grocery chain pays $15 million for shopping center it anchors.

Publix Super Markets Inc. bought the Duval Station Marketplace Shopping Center on Friday for $15 million. 

Lakeland-based Publix anchors the 81,802-square-foot center on 9.34 acres at 731 Duval Station Road. The center was developed in 2003. 

Seller Duval Station Investment L.L.C. of Hyde Park, New York, bought the property for $11 million in 2004.

Tenants include Bono’s Pit Bar-B-Q, Pinch A Penny Pool Patio Spa, Edible Arrangements, Golden Ox Liquor, Fuji Sushi & Grill, The UPS Store, 168 Nails Spa, Smoker’s Palace, Sun Sun Garden Chinese Restaurant, Stephanie Frehse State Farm Insurance, Hair Cuttery, Work Out Anytime Duval Station, Subway and Papa John’s Pizza.
