Jacksonville University reports the Frisch family, led by Beaver Street Fisheries Inc. Chairman Harry Frisch, is supporting the campus welcome center under construction at the Arlington campus.
The Frisch Welcome Center will include the Kinne Welcome Gallery lobby area with the support of JU chancellor emeritus Frances Bartlett Kinne.
The Haskell Co. is building the 12,000-square-foot, single-story project at a cost of $3 million between the J. Arthur Howard Administration and J. Henry Gooding buildings.
Completion is expected in early 2019. Total costs are expected at $4 million. Prosser Inc. is the civil engineer.
The welcome center and health sciences building are elements comprising the “Jacksonville University Project” to be financed by $175 million in bonds issued for campus improvements.
