More Dollar General stores on the way to Jacksonville

Dollar General is moving toward development of an Eastside area store at 1040 E. Eighth St. at Florida Avenue.

The city issued a mobility fee calculation certificate for the proposed 7,500-square-foot project on 1.37 acres. Concept Development Inc. of Gainesville is the agent and The Perfect Score Realty Group II LLC is the property owner.

 A JEA service availability letter refers to the project as Dollar General. A $61,547 mobility fee was calculated to mitigate the traffic impact.

Dollar General also appears to be the potential project on vacant commercial property at 103rd Street and California Avenue in West Jacksonville.

Concept Development Inc. proposes to develop a 7,500-square-foot commercial retail store on the 1.1-acre site.

The city calculated a mobility fee of $70,974 to mitigate the traffic impact.

No store was identified on plans, although Gainesville-based Concept Development has developed several area Dollar General stores.

Dollar General is building a store at 7194 Wilson Blvd. The 7,512-square-foot store will be developed on 1.03 acres at Wilson Boulevard and Firestone Road in Westside at a job cost of $296,985.

Concept Companies also wants to build a 7,500-square-foot retail store at northwest Post Street and McDuff Avenue South near Riverside, according to a JEA service availability letter. No tenant is identified.
