Adam M. Levine was appointed chief executive officer and director of the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens.
Levine, who will start in January, is deputy director and curator of ancient art for the Toledo Museum of Art. “When I visited the Cummer Museum, I was overwhelmed by its potential,” Levine said. “The seasoned staff, the magnificent gardens, the strong collection and the supportive board all suggested the museum could become a truly special institution.”
Levine has more than 10 years of management and curating experience with musems and art institutions.
Levine earned his bachelor of arts at Dartmouth College in 2008, was named a Rhodes Scholar in 2012 and earned a master of studies and Ph.D in the history of art from Oxford University.
