Aldi announced Monday it will reopen its renovated Middleburg store Feb. 14.
The store is at 1702 Blanding Blvd. in front of the Lowe’s home improvement center.
The Germany-based grocer will host a ribbon-cutting at 8:25 a.m. on opening day and offer gift cards to the first 100 customers.
Grand reopening events continue Feb. 15-17, with giveaways and a chance to win a year’s supply of produce. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Aldi said the remodeling is part of a $1.9 billion initiative to remodel and expand more than 1,300 ALDI stores nationwide by the end of 2020.
ALDI said it is investing more than $115 million to update 83 stores in Florida by the end of 2020.
Aldi has 11 confirmed sites in Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties. It opened its first area store in October 2014 in St. Augustine.
The chain operates eight stores in Duval, Clay and St. Johns. Two others are in development in Southwest Jacksonville and in North Jacksonville at the Parkway Shops at River City Marketplace.
The first Aldi store for Nassau County also is planned.
ALDI operates more than 1,800 U.S. stores in 35 states.
