A Marriott-branded hotel is coming to Wildlight in Nassau County, the developer of the planned community announced Thursday.

A spokeswoman said the brand would be announced this summer.

Construction is expected to begin late this year, with completion planned for 2020. No financial details were disclosed.

The hotel will be 60,000 square feet with up 105 guest rooms. It will offer “premium food and beverage venues and a variety of wellness options,” the release said.

Other amenities include a pool, 24-hour market, business center, fitness center and a fire pit.

Impact Properties, a Tampa-based investment, operating and development company, will develop, own and manage the hotel.

“Partnering with Marriott on this project will enable us to deliver a truly unique guest experience for visitors to and residents of Northeast Florida,” said Kish Kanji, executive vice president of Impact Properties.

“As this region continues to grow and expand, having an established hotel in the heart of the Florida lowcountry will further attract future business travelers and vacationers to the area,” he said in an email.

Raydient Places + Properties is the developer of Wildlight, which is in Yulee west of Interstate 95 off Florida A1A.

“Marriott’s strong brand recognition and dedication to innovation makes it the perfect fit for Wildlight,” said Chris Corr, president of Raydient Places + Properties.

Marriott operates 30 brands with 6,700 properties across 127 countries, according to its website. Marriott brands include The Ritz-Carlton, Sheraton, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites, TownPlace Suites, Aloft and others.
