Walmart will invest more than $1 million to renovate its River City Marketplace Supercenter.
The city is reviewing a permit application for a full-store interior alteration of the store at 13227 City Square Drive. Plans show a scope of work that includes cleaning, prepping and painting exterior and interior walls; an upgraded pharmacy that includes a health service room; and upgrades to the photo lab, garden center, restrooms, offices, break room, customer service, grocery, entry, signage, auto center, vision center and money center.
• Tractor Supply Co. intends to build a store in Yulee in Nassau County. The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing a permit application for a store at southwest Florida A1A and Pinewood Drive. Plans show an 18,800-square-foot building and a 15,000-square-foot fenced outdoor display area on 4 acres.
• First Coast Energy LLP intends to demolish the car wash at its Daily’s gas station and convenience store at 4991 Gate Parkway south of Butler Boulevard and add additional parking spaces and provide “a better overall flow” on the site, said spokeswoman Andrea Kane. The city is reviewing a permit application for C&R General Contractors Inc. to demolish the structure.
• Ticon Commercial Inc. is the contractor for the proposed Valvoline at 13357 Beach Blvd. The 3,074-square-foot building is listed at a construction cost of $550,000.
• Ticon Commercial Inc. received a site and building demolition permit to take down an almost 5,000-square-foot building for development of an almost 7,400-square-foot AutoZone at 13997 Beach Blvd.
