Sprouts Farmers Market announced Friday it will open its first Jacksonville store at 7 a.m. July 10.
The Phoenix-based natural and organic food grocery chain’s is leasing space at 4873 Town Center Parkway in The Markets at Town Center.
The first 200 shoppers will receive 20% off their initial total purchase. Muffin and coffee samples will be served to everyone in line before the doors open. All customers on July 10 will receive one free reusable bag with a purchase.
The store will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Sprouts says the store will offer “an abundant selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and barrels of wholesome grains, nuts and sweets in a bright, open store layout.”
It will feature an in-house butcher “who prepares hand-crafted sausages daily and assists customers with special cuts of meat and seafood seasoning.”
The store will offer a deli, baked goods, craft beer and wine and a Vitamins and Body Care Department with more than 7,700 products.
The chain plans a second store at Tamaya Market, a shopping center in development at the Tamaya planned community at northwest Beach and Tamaya boulevards.
Sprouts says it employs more than 30,000 team members and operates more than 325 stores in 21 states. It has 11 stores in Florida, with three more, including Jacksonville, opening this summer.
