Catalyst Development Partners said Monday it will open the SoBa luxury apartment project on the Southbank in August and the first residents are expected to move in during the summer.
The four-story, 147-unit apartments comprise one- and two-bedroom units from 612 to 1,151 square feet.
Monthly rental rates will start from about $1,300 for one-bedroom units and $1,600 for two-bedroom units.
Construction completion of all units and amenities is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.
SoBa Apartments are under development at 1444 Home St. next to Kipp and Hendricks avenues, in the Southbank area near San Marco. Construction began in June.
Catalyst said apartment finishes include gourmet kitchens with table-sized islands, granite counters, subway tile backsplashes, two-tone cabinetry, wood-inspired plank flooring, stainless steel appliances, walk-in showers, spacious closets, full-size washers and dryers, and balconies and outdoor patios to maximize views from most units.
Jorge Sardinas, principal of Atlanta-based Catalyst Development Partners, said in a news release that SoBa is a “multifamily product that will reduce commutes for Downtown office workers while offering a highly amenitized lifestyle in a walkable neighborhood.”
Amenities include a 24-hour fitness club; co-working spaces; media, entertainment and gaming opportunities; and an on-site coffee café.
Outdoor resident amenities include a resort-style pool; summer kitchens with gas grill stations and pub-style dining areas; a fire pit with seating; garden daybeds; and outdoor yoga spaces.
Summit Contracting Group Inc. is the contractor for the apartment building and a three-story parking garage at a construction cost of $15 million.
Catalyst Partners paid $2.45 million in May for almost 1.92 acres at 1444 Home St. and 0.81 acres at 1059 Kipp Ave.
