Wells Fargo & Co.’s job cuts from February through this week in the mortgage division in Jacksonville total 72 positions, the bank said Thursday.

Wells Fargo said Wednesday that it cut 46 jobs in the mortgage division, after 102 mortgage-related job cuts last summer in Jacksonville.

A Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed Thursday with the state said that 71 jobs were affected. The bank clarified that to 72.

Spokeswoman Kathy Harrison said the WARN filling does a 90-day “look back” in determining the number of layoffs.

She said that over the past 90 days, the staff displacements, all in the mortgage division, comprised 9 as of Feb. 26; 17 as of March 29; and 46 as of Wednesday.

The division operates in Southside at 10401 Deerwood Park Blvd.
