Pre-registration is open for Let’s Drive Jax!, the Duval County Clerk of Courts’ third annual driver license reinstatement expo.
Residents whose license is suspended because of unpaid child support, citations or fees in collections may apply to return to the road.
Clerk staff is scheduling appointments for the weeks of Sept. 25-29 and Oct. 2-6.
Let’s Drive Jax provides a one-stop shop for people to work directly with appropriate state agencies and/or the court to determine how to reinstate their driving privileges. Pre-registration is required to participate.
Participating agencies include the 4th Judicial Circuit, the 4th Judicial Circuit State Attorney, the 4th Judicial Circuit Public Defender, the Florida Department of Revenue, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the Duval County Tax Collector and the Duval County Supervisor of Elections.
There is no need to know exactly why a license is not valid as the clerk’s office researches each situation and contacts the participant to explain the process and set up an appointment at the Duval County Courthouse at a designated time during the two weeks of the expo.
