The Florida Bar board of governors seeks applicants for vacancies to be filled during the May 10 board meeting. Lawyer applicants must be members in good standing of The Florida Bar.

American Bar Association House of Delegates: Two attorneys to serve two-year terms beginning in August at the conclusion of the ABA annual meeting. Applicants must also be ABA members.

Florida Legal Services Inc. board of directors: One attorney to serve a three-year term beginning July 1.

This board provides judicial advocacy through co-counseling with local program attorneys and volunteer pro bono attorneys and provides legislative and administrative advocacy on policies impacting the legal rights of the poor, as well as providing civil legal assistance to indigent persons who would not otherwise have the means to obtain a lawyer.

Florida Medical Malpractice Joint Underwriting Association board of governors: One attorney to serve a two-year term beginning July 1.

This is a nine-member board that develops a means of obtaining loss and expense experience in medical malpractice issues.

Applications will be accepted until the close of business April 8. The board of governors will review applications and may request interviews.

Attorneys interested in applying for the vacancies may visit tinyurl.com/ytav6tjm or call the Bar headquarters at 850-561-3127 for the application form.
