A Canadian real estate company bought Villas Continental for $10.55 million, its second fractured apartment complex purchase in Clay County within the past year.

Ontario-based Venterra Realty Inc. acquired the Orange Park community from TR Jax, LLC, of Tallahassee, on Sept. 27. The purchase includes 84 apartments, the majority of the total 99 units at 2223 Astor St. overlooking the St. Johns River.

The remaining 15 units are condominiums, according to a news release from Colliers International Northeast Florida, which brokered the sale.

The concrete-block complex was built in the late 1960s and has 12 two-story buildings, a fitness center, a yacht basin and a marina, the release states. There are six one-bedroom, 43 two-bedroom and 35 three-bedroom units.

Venterra also purchased Cobblestone at Eagle Harbor, a 190-unit fractured community in Fleming Island in Oct. 2017.

The company owns more than 55 apartment communities throughout the United States.
