CareerSource Northeast Florida, the regional workforce development organization, will reopen its career centers at 9 a.m. May 26.

Centers will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Client meetings will be set by appointment only to prevent overcrowding at the centers.

Applicants must register for an appointment at careersourcenefl.com or by phone at (904) 356-5627.

Appointments are limited to 45 minutes. To ensure social distancing standards and occupancy levels, children or other people are not permitted to accompany the job seeker to the appointment unless required for Americans with Disabilities Act purposes.

Staff will wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Job seekers at the centers will be required to wear face coverings such as a medical mask, scarf, bandana or improvised cloth face mask. Work areas will be sanitized between each appointment.

The temperatures of staff will be checked each day. Staff will ask screening questions and use an infrared no-contact digital thermometer to check the temperature of clients coming into the center. Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 or a temperature of more than 100 degrees will be asked to return another time.

CareerSource staff will continue to work at the satellite center at the Clay County Fairgrounds that opened May 11. Additional satellite centers will be opening soon in Putnam and St. Johns counties. Additional space is being added next door to the Gateway Career Center location in Duval County.

CareerSource provides services to job seekers, including job leads, access to labor market and salary information, assessments and computer resources for updating resumes and conducting internet research.
