Organizers and sponsors of the annual Cowford Ball met at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse Wednesday for the Baron’s Luncheon. The ball raises money for the American Cancer Society, and since its inception in 1995, has raised $3.2 million. This year’s event is planned for Sept. 13 at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds with a theme of “The Cowford Ball Celebrates Cowboys and Indians.”
