The Chamber of Commerce has named its executive committee and board of governors for 2002. The list is headed by incoming president M. Lynn Pappas.

The Chamber College Recruiter and WorkSource business consultants are scheduled to attend eight college career fairs in the spring.

There will be a booth with brochures and information about the Jacksonville area and the consultants will direct potential applicants toward businesses in the Chamber’s online membership directory and to other booths at the fairs.

The Chamber’s International division has two upcoming trips and one seminar:

• Both Central and South America are locations for trade missions in the first quarter of 2002. There will be a trade show in Veracruz, Mexico, on January 28-31 and on March 19-21 there will be a trade mission to Brazil.

• A seminar on “Doing Business in China” will be offered at the Chinese Business Education Center on Jan. 10. The newly established center is a joint effort by FCCJ and the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.
