City Council member Richard Clark took first place and Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland earned the “Most Improved” distinction Thursday at the 2nd Annual Celebrity Barrel Race at the Equestrian Center. The two were among several elected officials who participated to support the Shamrock Showdown barrel racing competition that took place Thursday-Sunday. Clark wasn’t the only first: Council member Kim Daniels also participated and rode a horse for the first time.
