The city issued permits April 10 for WoodSpring Suites to build a hotel in Southside at 11250 Lamb Tail Lane in Campfield Commons.
Integrated Construction LLC is the contractor for the $6.6 million project to build a four-story, 122-room, almost 50,000-square-foot project on 1.85 acres. The city also permitted a trash enclosure.
The site is east of Interstate 295 and off of Baymeadows Road.
Concord WP COL Campfield LLC, part of Concord Hospitality Enterprises, is the owner and developer of the project.
Concord Hospitality is based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
In September, Baker Design Build submitted plans for the hotel.
It is the second WoodSpring Suites submitted for permitting.
Developer Gold Coast Premier Properties plans a four-story, 122-room WoodSpring Suites on 3.13 acres at 7137 Bonneval Road, near the Bentley/Maserati Alfa Romeo dealership under construction.
WoodSpring Suites is an extended-stay brand of Choice Hotels International Inc. Three operate in Jacksonville.
