In the race to become Jacksonville mayor, Lenny Curry led local campaign contributions in September, raising $63,646 to City Council member Bill Bishop’s $9,260 and Mayor Alvin Brown’s $8,825.
Brown leads the overall fundraising efforts with a total haul of $1.5 million. Of that, $1 million is through his Taking Jacksonville to the Next Level political action committee while the rest is through his local account.
With the September funds, Curry topped the $1 million mark in his three months of campaigning. He raised $694,000 through his Together for a Greater Jacksonville state committee. The other $310,000 went toward his local account.
Bishop has raised $50,000 through his four months of campaigning.
