November fundraising figures show it was a month of give and take for mayoral hopefuls.

Republican Lenny Curry took in his best results in several months, bringing in $226,300 through local contributions and his state committee. The majority, $184,500, came through his “Together for a Greater Jacksonville” state committee with $25,000 contributions by Joe Anderson, Tom Petway, David Stein and Peter Rummell. He raised $41,800 at the local level and overall has raised more than $1.45 million.

Mayor Alvin Brown took in $26,108 through his “Taking Jacksonville to the Next Level” state committee, headlined by a $25,000 donation from the Farah & Farah law firm.

But, he also gave back.

He netted $7,008 for the month after returning $19,100 to donors who contributed at an Oct. 23 fundraiser in New York hosted by Bill Cosby. Sexual assault allegations dating back decades have resurfaced, causing Brown to announce in late November he would return the funds raised at the event.

Brown raised $2,650 at the local level. The mayor has raised more than $1.65 million to date.

City Council member Bill Bishop, a Republican, raised $6,360 for the November, pushing his total to $66,825.
