Del Webb Wildlight preparing 10 model homes for active adult community

The project will comprise up to 660 single-family houses on the 226-acres Nassau County site.

Del Webb, the national brand for the PulteGroup Inc., is constructing its third active adult community on the region.

Del Webb Wildlight, which will be 20 miles north of Jacksonville, joins Del Webb’s eTown and Nocatee communities.

The Wildlight project will be built on 226 acres of the 2,900-acre master-planned community in Nassau County.

Del Webb communities are restricted to residents 55 years old and older. They feature social and physical activities targeted at those about to or those who have begun retired life.

PulteGroup announced in February that it is building 10 models and two dozen move-in-ready homes with closing this year. Appointments to view the models will begin in April.

“Del Webb’s strong brand recognition for quality design, resort-style amenities and close community connection makes this an ideal fit for Wildlight and our Florida Lowcountry lifestyle,” he added.

The release said there will be 16 floor plans inspired by Florida low country elevations. Those feature large porches and windows looking out over woods and wetland.

The gated community is near Amelia Island and the Jacksonville International Airport. The community will have adult, resort-style amenities with about 6  acres of recreational areas that will include a 12,000-square-foot amenity center, a pool and a separate lap pool, tennis and pickelball courts and a dog park. 

There will be 10 miles of trails for exercise that also connect Del Webb with other Wildlight communities as well as the YMCA and local restaurants.

Raydient Places + Properties, a subsidiary of Rayonier Inc., is developing Wildlight.
