Marks Gray immigration lawyer Giselle Carson completed her second term.
Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed David Hodges Jr., chairman and CEO of Hodges Management Group and 925 Partners Insurance Agency, to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority.
Hodges will succeed Marks Gray business immigration lawyer Giselle Carson, who Gov. Rick Scott appointed in 2014 and reappointed in 2017 for a second full four-year term that expired in September 2021.
Expired-term members can serve until their successor is appointed.
Hodges previously served as a member of the Jacksonville Housing Authority and was chairman of the Episcopal School of Jacksonville.
Hodges earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Liberty University and his master’s degree in business administration from Jacksonville University, DeSantis announced.
The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
The mayor makes three appointments to the seven-member board and the governor makes four.
The aviation authority operates, manages and controls all publicly owned airports and ancillary facilities within Duval County.
